What do you believe it means to be courageous? What words would describe a coward? Explain whether or not you think Charlie is a courageous or a coward.
I believe that couragous means facing fear without being scared of anything. And The words to desribe a coward is that you fear things. and you can't do something that you have too.I think that Charlie is both because he has guts to go to war but he's bring fear with him. Charlie was not very sure he would want to go on with his plan to go to war. But Tommo stand beside him to make him feel that he could go on with it. So he's both of a coward and couragous.
I think that the word courageous means to be fearless and able to overcome everything that stands in your way. some words to describe a coward is that he/she is a person thats always scared or is very easily intimidated and that you can't overcome the simplest fears to accomplish something. I disagree with whoever that is up there^^ that Charlie is both a curageous person but a coward at the same time because of him going off to war with the chance of dieing, but fearful and cowardly because he goes there with fear. I don't blame charlie for having fear because he's going off to war with the huge chance of dieing. i mean that's something that's a really hard fear to get over. I think being courageous means to do thing that you wouldnt normaly do, a word I would use to describe a coward is scared because when you are scared to do something or you run away from something I think that is being a coward, I think Charlie is courageous because he is going to war and he shows no fear to his family
I think that being courageous is doing what you have to even if you know you may not actually believe in what your doing. Doing it because you know it may keep anither person safe or protected, war (especially in Preivate Peaceful) is a good example of being courageous because he goes to war to protect his land and family but doesn't actually know what he thinks of the war itself. I believe that being a coward means you are conceded and back away from something you may knwo you can't win or are scared to lose.
I think being courageous means taking a risk, and doing what you want without minding anyones doubt. A coward, in my eyes, is someone who cares deeply about what people think. Who dont want to step out of their comfort zone. Charlie Peaceful is NOT a coward. Charlie doesnt want to go to war, he has much better reasons for him to stay. His Molly, and his soon to be baby, and the fact that he must stay and work, protecting his family. He is most defiantly courageous. Montana .

I believe that courageous means to not give up if you fail once or twice and standing up to what you believe or to help people in nedd. I would decribe a coward someone who defies they're country and would not help others , like someone who would leave others behind to save their own life.
