3 People is Still Good Enough for a Pro Grand Conversation

Today, our group for private peaceful consisted of three people but we still managed to have an awesome group conversation! We started off by asking eachother what is our favorite part in the book because we haven't even asked that question before and it gives us all something to think about. Wyatt thought that his favourite part in the book was whenever there was violence because it was very desdcriptive and he said he could just imagine ever single moment of that scene. Autumn said that she didn't really have a favourite part but she thought it was funny when charlie got spanked at school with the ruler. Jon's favourite part was when they got caught paoching on the colonels land. Then we went on to talking about our favourite characters. The whole group went in Big Joe's favour because of his "awesome" personality. We described him as "awesome" and just out to be because he never lets manything get him down. Lastly, we talked  about some big ideas of the book. We are having some troubles finding it because we aren't quite done the book yet but some ideas that we have are just straight up war but then we said it can't be because that doesn't teach us a life lesson so then we said sticking together and doing stuff as a team. overall this grand conversation was quite grand!

Devotion,Deception,Death

We have finished our book!! The end was devastating but appropriate, Charlie was executed for disobeying an order that took many of his friends life to spare his brother's. Tommo had been trying to escape when he had been wounded. He had fallen silently to the ground telling himself he was dieing and he was okay with it, when he blacked out completely. Tommo awoke to a mouthful of dirt, at first relieved to be alive and then another in full panic, he had been buried, alive. Just when he believed it was about to get better it got worse. He was suffocating and he couldn't dig himself out in time. When he had backed out a bomb had been dropped near by and had crushed him completely he was wake and at least three feat under rubble. He knew it was over when he felt a strong hand grip his leg. It was charlie and him and a couple more of the troops dug him out and Charlie was already making jokes, but he wasn't laughing completely at Charlie. Sergeant Horrible Hanley had showed up sometime in between being dug out and totally clicking in to the scene, he was giving orders as always, but this time he was ordering them to try to get back to the base. At first nobody moved, but as horrible hanley had said if they disobeyed his order their would be life threatening consequences, and all knowing the real life threatenign danger was the order they all stood to take charge. All but one, Charlie had still been refusing the order and would take the consequences (knowing how bad they would be). So he heard horrible hanley tell the troops to move out and as they did Charlie gave himself a death scentence with a horrible judge and no survivors that weren't in base camps to defend him in court Horrible Hanley was proud as he left the court knowing that he put a private he'd always hated put to death for saving the life of his brother. So Tommy was alive, Charlie had stayed with him and nursed him back to well enough health overnight, to make their way back to the camp at sunrise to have charlie handcuffed and shipped off immediately after their return. The last things that Chaarlie said would sink in soon, he had asked tommy to take care of his family and that  of his newborn baby born by the name of Tommo Jr. the day after Charlie was convicted and put on death row, he had told the truth in court and the only person they hear was Sergeant Horrible Hanley who died in the line of duty the day after. Too late for Charlie, Tommie thought as he sat next to his brother and said his final goodbyes. It was his fault and as he left the prison he dreaded the 6:00 wake up call to his brother;'s life in the ground and that was how it happened. He was sitting next t Annna's barn as the final shot rang out.

THE BACK STABBING BROTHER!

This novel is filled with a lot of SHOCKING things! I would would never of thought that Molly and Charlie would become LOVERS! Charlie is a back stabbing brother, if I was in Tommo shoes i would feel horrible and i would never be able to for give Charlie. CHARLIE IS A HORRIBLE BROTHER. I feel really sorry for him. Will Tommo ever for give Charlie for want he had done?

Papa Charlie & Momma Molly !

I love this book so far! I was extremely SHOCKED when I found out that Molly, TOMMO'S love, is pregnant and that Charlie is her baby daddy! I mean, I knew that they liked each other but they also knew that Tommy loved her! Thats kinda harsh. I love Tommy, he is ADOREABLE, but what Charlie did was unforgiveable! And personally, I was angry that Tommo smiled and laughed when he heard the news, even though he felt betrayed and hurt. I feel that Tommo should've freaked out, threw some things around. Poor Tommo!
 Montana .
After reading the second part of the book Private Peaceful it has not been as good as the first part because most of it has been talk and there have not been as many big events happening, though I still find the book interesting because near the end of the second part Charlie and Tommie have to go away and leave Big Joe, Molly and Their mother to go to a war against the Germans in France....

Mego Prego!

At this point in the story i would have like more detail, afte rweeks of supposedly staying apart their secret meetings are founded and molly is pronounced pregnant by Charlie peaceful.Tommy was supposed to have been their only gateway but was betrayed. He had loved Molly and Molly and his brother were lovers. It was obviously hard to take as the jealousy and hurt is run through tommo's mind over and over again. Molly is now living with the peaceful family and charlie is as happy could be, having no interest in tommy, tommy spends his days avoiding both characters. Even knowing this I wonder how it would feel to be in Moll'y shoes. I wouldn't know how to explain it, why it happened and why Charlie had to  leave to the war, but at least he promised to come back right? I believe I would be lonely and confused knowing that Bertha was there for me but missing charlie every day and wishing i had let tommy in just a little more. I would hope I wouldn't have to raise a child on my own and know very well what may happen to the Peaceful "twins" millions of miles away in a war they were never meant to fight in.
